Community Rooms
Both the Main Library and Allwood Branch have community rooms that may be booked by the public. Bookings are made through our Business Office and must meet certain criteria. Please phone 973-772-5500 and ask for Christine Alhablawi in the business office or email her at

Group Study/Meeting Rooms
The Main Library offers two small group study rooms. The room on the first floor contains one counter with six chairs. It may be used by up to 3 groups of 2 people each. One person from the group must sign in and leave ID at the circulation desk. On the second floor, a group study room at the back of the reference area can hold one group of 2-6 people. One person from the group must sign in and leave ID at the reference desk. Both rooms are first-come, first-serve. A group will have one hour if others are waiting; otherwise, the time is not limited. The room may be in use for Library-sponsored events if necessary. Quiet Study
A room for individuals seeking quiet study space is available on a first-come basis on the second floor of the Main Library. It contains several study carrels, two armchairs, and several stools along a counter. Plenty of electrical outlets are available for laptop plugin.
