The Library is more than just a place to borrow materials; in many ways, it functions as a community center. Here are some activities to take advantage of:
-
Attend a book discussion meeting, held every third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
in the Main Library Community Room.
-
Learn to play bridge with the Bridge Club, which meets every Wednesday at 12:00 noon in the Allwood Branch Community Room.
-
Catch a movie – for free! – at least once a week in either the Main Library or Allwood Branch. Check the Calendar for the monthly schedule.
-
Practice your English in our Conversation Club, held every Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
in the Main Library Community Room. Make use of our ESL Collection and Foreign Language books.
-
Show off your talents or hobbies with an exhibit in our gallery and showcases.
-
Take advantage of our local history resources to work on your genealogy project.
-
Using our career collection for inspiration, type your resume on our computers, then email it to prospective employers or FAX it for a nominal fee.

Use our WiFi to work on your own laptop.
-
Attend some of our special programs (check the Calendar).
-
Book your club’s next meeting in our Community Room.

Make your library card work for you! Are you aware that your Clifton Library card gives you the power to:

Request hard-to-find materials through Interlibrary Loan? (If we can’t get it through PALS Plus, we can look statewide, and then nationwide!)
-
Place your own holds and renew material through our catalog?
-
Access research databases from your home computer or Internet-capable mobile device?
-
Download audiobooks and e-books?
