Minors age 17 years old or under need to come in with a parent or legal guardian to apply for a library card.
If you live outside of Clifton, you will be able to use the library card from your hometown if it is up-to-date and part of our Open Borrowing network. If your hometown is outside of the Open Borrowing network and you work, own property, or attend school in Clifton, you can obtain a Clifton Library card with the proper ID. Please phone the Circulation Desk at 973-772-5500 to inquire.
All library card holders need to present ID once per year to renew their cards.
Lost cards can be replaced for $3.00. It is important to advise the Library if a card is lost to avoid misuse if found by someone else.
William Paterson University students may use their valid school card if they do not have a hometown card from within the Open Borrowing network.
