The Clifton Public Library offers the public the opportunity to display their crafts and collectibles and show off their artistic talents with exhibit spaces in both the Main Library and Allwood Branch. Space is available to both casual hobbyists and professionals. Though we highly encourage Clifton individuals and groups to take advantage of this opportunity, exhibit space is open to all regardless of residency. While length of time is negotiable, exhibits are generally booked for two months at a time.
Main Memorial Library
Current Display: GALLERY and CASES: Oil on canvas paintings by Antonina Shahsovar
The Main Library has two distinct spaces for exhibits. On the first floor, there is an open gallery area that is outfitted with a professional Walker Display system for hanging framed work or other suitable material along wall space. The number of pieces you can fit depends on the size and arrangement of your work.
On the second floor, there are two vertical glass display cases and one tabletop glass display case.
We encourage exhibitors to use both spaces for maximum exposure.

Allwood Branch
Current Display: Jewelry projects created by the students and teacher of the Montclair University Jewelry Class
The Allwood Branch boasts beautiful, handmade wood-and-glass display cabinets just inside the building’s entry. Variable height glass shelving allows exhibitors to set up the cases to meet the requirements of your work.

Since display spaces in both buildings are in public areas, not enclosed galleries, content should be “family friendly” (i.e., not include explicit nudity or violence).
The Library cannot be part of any sales transactions. If desired, exhibitors may leave contact information for interested patrons.
Library staff is unable to aid in setting up and removing displays. It’s helpful to bring a friend with you for assistance.
Exhibit materials are displayed at the owner’s risk.
